Twas the night Before break
by Piper Phillips
"Twas the night before break, when all through the halls,
All students were anxiously climbing the walls;
The lockers were open-kids combing their hair,
In hopes that some snowflakes would soon fill the air;
Kids were excited to sleep late in their beds,
While visions of carefree days danced in their heads:
With people in the office and I in my class
We just settled down and let our brains rest at last,
When outside the room there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter
Outside the door, there was a string
The string led you to the gym where it looked like spring
Inside there were flowers blooming
Some people that were inside the room were snoozing
While other people were playing games
Some were even sharing snakes
A lot of people were eating food
And that is when I saw this dude
He was walking out the door into the hall
So I followed him and that is when I realized that he made all
halls look like fall
By Cassia Butler
Out the window, up the ladder
And then I heard the noise get louder
I turned to see a reindeer, that was the clatter
I walked up slowly, to keep it from fear
It sniffed the air, then licked my hair
I screeched in fear, as it licked my ear
But it backed away, not here to stay
I smelt the air, and it smelled like hay
It slowly approached once more, and I could now see
It was clearly Santa's reindeer sent to get me
It scooped me up, and off we flew
In the night sky, all black and blue

'Whatever is going on?' I shouted out loud
'There's a reindeer inside!' kids yelled around.
I didn't believe them until I saw it with my eyes,
A large reindeer in the halls flies
I panic, as anyone would
For something fictional in front of me stood
The animal was covered in snow,
Brushed its fur on locker rows
'Animal control is here!' was shouted from the door,
As men started to pin the deer to the floor
'Wake up! Wake up!' said someone across the hall
As I wake from my bed, it makes sense after all
I'm late to class, dreaming too wild
Off I go to school, remembering to smile."

For I had just heard something shatter
I went to the hall to find a plate that was broken
For something had just awoken
I heard growls from another room
I thought I was doomed
Someone came out when I was about to open the door
I had never seen this man before
He looked as though he had never seen the sun
Or ever had any fun
He looked very funky
With his old pet monkey

I went to the hall to see what the racket was
The children in the hall yelled "It's Santa Claus"
We all yelled with cheer as presents flew everywhere
Some cried as they had to go say a prayer
We all had fun as we played with our favorite toys
But Santa wouldn't give toys to naughty boys
We all gave Santa his cookies
Then Santa said he had to go to Missouri
We all cried with sorrow
But Santa said we'd all see him tomorrow

When I got outside I saw a student making antimatter,
The scare came from when I saw her she was starting to chatter
The noise came and started to flatter my great batter
Then I started to ask her what was in her matter.
She then replied I don't want to spill the batter matter.
Then I got aroused by another matter.
A minor student was up high on a status ladder;
While looking for a book about pattern matchers.
Now that I have resolved the other matters.
The worst thing happened after.

There was not one but two reindeer upon the lockers,
All students around to witness what magic that was to see,
Their heads were full of wonder to see what was to come,
Before you know there were more and more

coming in,
It was like the school was full of Christmas air,
Children running around trying to find more,
The looks in the children's eyes were full of magic,
Teachers in amazement and confusion,
After all of that, the one and only Santa Clause enters,
Everyone in excitement jumping on lockers,
Then it was all gone and not a sight of magic in the air.

Outside the window there was snow
Kids sliding down the hill as fast as they could go.
I put on my snow gear and went outside
I wanted to sled with the other kids who lie in the snow.
I made a snow angel
It was all a tangle.
I was the worst of them all
I wish it was still fall.

I hear some bells on the roof and some stomping up there.
I have big footsteps and I keep hearing the word ho ho ho.
I looked downstairs and saw presents and the milk was gone.
I see the carpet is wet and it's leading to to chimney.
All of a sudden I hear a guy saying some weird names like Rudolph.
Then I went outside to see a big sled with flying deer.
Then red fell out of the sled and at the end of fall it didn't look good at all.
Once I got there his body was shaped like a noodle.
Then a green little thing came and brought him back to life.
He got up and gave me a present.

It was boxes and items that made the clatter
And other kids came and said, "What's the matter?"
As they are leaving for Christmas break
Their arms and legs all ached
Then Santa came with cookies and milk
And his red pants and coat made of red silk
He rides on his sleigh which is his red ride
Then he rides off and his reindeer glide
He goes through their chimneys and walks through the halls
He puts candy in stockings hung up on the walls.
They wake up on Christmas day
They push and shove to get through their way
They want to see what the elves had to make
And it all happened on Christmas break

There were teachers leaping around falling on the ground
Some were even pretending they were on a pitcher's mound
Students were dreaming of there winter time break
Then all of a sudden there was this frightening shake
We all gather near our teachers desk
She then goes around and does an arabesque
The shaking has went away and we all go to the blacktop
Some classmates were still hanging around on their laptop
This story can go father than this
The kids in the halls were so full of bliss

Than I saw a ladder making some clatter,
Than I saw a banner with a scanner,
Than I saw a rapper with a clapper,
After we wrote a letter than my teacher made it better,
Than I split my pants doing a dance,
Then I ran out of the class to see the crash.
Then I thought what is making the clatter,
Then I saw JUICE WORLD making some batter,
Then we started out side for a snowball fight,
Then I went inside and said my goodbyes and there I went with a fright.

There was a man putting down a bed.
all dressed in red
Jumping up and down with his stomach full of milk,
Thumping with is ride of silk
With his reindeer to gide
Through the snow,
The winds blow,
And Rudolph's nose glows to the Toy makers home,
Home home he's happy to be home.

And I had no idea that would be the day the tomfoolery started
A green person came into the room then darted
The green man started to take are christmas tree
Then behind him came some animal with green tea
He looked like a dog but had antlers
The thing was quite a handler
They left with the tree and the decorations
The green person shut the door as the dog grins
That was the night before christmas break
At least on break we will get cake

There was a green weird looking guy in the hall stealing each kids gift,
Then he disappeared in a swift,
The kids then went to open them and and saw the frown,
So I decided to start and hunt him down,
I searched it up on the internet where he could be,
I found where, so I had to flee,

I saw a kid with blood all splattered from head to toe.
It even dripped on the kids in his row.
It made a shiver down my spine.
I was also glad the blood wasn't mine.
A thing in my head said gee oh my
I really hope he doesn't die.
The other kids were just as scared,
To see how badly the kid had fared.
After all this, we decorated the tree,
With festive things and even a flea.
We wrapped lots of presents for the kids in need,
And fulfilled our Christmas good deed.
The last thing we did was join our families at home.
We celebrated Christmas by spraying lots of foam.
